The Chamber of the Motorcycle Industry of ANDI and Fenalco announced on May 4 that new motorcycle registrations in Colombia grew by 37.09% so far in 2026, showing continued positive momentum for the sector.

This increase is highlighted by the registration of 113,602 new motorcycles during April, representing a growth of 40.69% compared to the same month last year. The organizations said this consolidates strong performance within the industry.

Compared to March, there was a slight decrease of -4.06%, which reflects a monthly adjustment but remains within an overall upward trend.

Brand-wise, Bajaj led new registrations for April with a market share of 17.95%, followed by Suzuki and AKT. Regionally, Cundinamarca, Antioquia, and Valle del Cauca recorded the highest numbers of new motorcycles registered during this period.

Municipalities such as Sabaneta, Funza, and El Cerrito were identified as areas where motorcycles play an important role both for daily transportation and economic activities.

According to the statement from ANDI and Fenalco, “the motorcycle continues to consolidate itself as an efficient and affordable mobility solution, especially for lower-income households who use it not only for travel but also as a key tool for work and income generation.” The organizations invite those interested to consult their full report online.
