The Ministry of Education, Sport and Culture announced on March 16 a call for professionals to apply for the position of Technology Specialist in the Executing Unit of the Annual Educational Investment Program. The goal is to strengthen the management and execution of technology projects within the education sector.
This recruitment targets professionals with higher education degrees registered in SNIESE, specifically in fields related to systems, information technologies, or telecommunications. Candidates are expected to have extensive experience in public sector work and managing projects funded by multilateral organizations.
Applicants must have at least eight years of general experience, including knowledge of national education system regulations, technological infrastructure management, information security, agile methodologies, and public investment project management. Additionally, candidates should possess at least one year and six months of specific experience in technological activities within the public sector—particularly in platform administration, network and server management, and cybersecurity incident handling.
Interested individuals must verify they meet the required profile before completing a resume matrix through an online link. Applications should be submitted via email in PDF format by March 19. Required documents include the completed resume matrix, a resume formatted for Encuentra Empleo, as well as employment and training certificates. The subject line should read: “TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST OF THE EXECUTING UNIT – UEP.”
The contract will be under professional services (invoicing), with work based in Quito. The ministry said this initiative reaffirms its commitment to modernizing the educational system and incorporating specialized talent to advance technology projects that benefit the country’s educational community.
