The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has announced the start of the bidding process for the construction of a new road bypass at kilometer 63 on the RVE Latacunga – Zumbahua – La Maná route in Cotopaxi province. The planned bypass will be approximately one kilometer long and aims to improve both connectivity and road safety along this strategic corridor.

The project is part of the Emergency Resilient Reconstruction Project, which is funded by World Bank Loan No. 9555-EC. This initiative seeks to strengthen the region’s road infrastructure.

Construction plans include paving, drainage systems, slope stabilization, road signage, and social-environmental components. These measures are intended to optimize traffic flow and operational conditions on the route.
