Daniel Mas, Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism and Mining, visited the Biobío Region on April 2 with a focus on strengthening dialogue with local economic actors and supporting entrepreneurs impacted by recent wildfires.
The visit aimed to promote local economic recovery and coordinate actions that encourage investment and job creation in the area. This comes as many businesses in the region continue to face challenges following damage caused by forest fires.
Mas said his agenda included meetings with representatives from various sectors of the productive world. He also discussed measures intended to boost both short-term recovery efforts for affected entrepreneurs and longer-term strategies for regional development.
During his time in Biobío, Mas emphasized collaboration between government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and community leaders as essential for revitalizing the local economy. The ministry’s approach seeks not only immediate relief but also sustainable growth through new investments.
Looking ahead, officials expect continued engagement with business owners and residents as they work together toward rebuilding stronger economic foundations after the wildfires.
