The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announced on March 9 that it has published a draft resolution to extend the validity of the support program aimed at protecting the income of small and medium producers of green paddy rice.
The extension is significant for producers who rely on this program to maintain stable incomes. The ministry is seeking public comments on the proposed resolution, which could impact many in the agricultural sector.
According to the draft, beneficiaries must submit documentation such as invoices, equivalent documents, mill certificates, or sales settlements for green paddy rice. These documents will serve as proof of commercial transactions and allow the program operator to verify compliance with established requirements.
Beneficiaries are required to present their payment requests to the program operator through an authorized channel starting from the business day following publication of the final list of registered participants. The deadline for submission, including any necessary corrections, is February 28, 2026. For legal entities, payment requests must also include a list of producers who contributed production volumes in each transaction along with their respective authorizations.
Given the potential implications for industry stakeholders, interested parties are invited to submit comments on the draft resolution by March 13, 2026.
