The Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services, the Argentine Confederation of Medium-Sized Enterprises, the Union of Argentine Commercial Entities, and the Argentine Federation of Commerce and Service Employees announced on April 28 that the recent collective bargaining agreement for mercantile activity has been officially approved.

This development is important as it sets out new salary conditions for workers covered by Collective Bargaining Agreement No. 130/75. The agreement includes a 5 percent wage increase calculated on March 2026 base salaries, including non-remunerative sums at that date.

According to the statement, “the mentioned increase of 5% will be paid as follows: 2% from April 2026; 1.5% from May 2026; and another 1.5% from June 2026.” In addition, a fixed non-remunerative sum of $20,000 will be added to existing non-remunerative amounts and will maintain its status.

To support the health system managed by OSECAC (the Social Work for Commerce Employees), employers included in this collective agreement must make an additional monthly contribution of $28,000 per employee covered under CCT No.130/75.

The terms are valid from April 1, 2026 until March 31, 2031. The parties have also committed to meet again in June to review wage scales and sums based on any economic changes since this agreement took effect.

It was clarified that these increases do not apply to separate wage agreements made in Río Grande city in Tierra del Fuego province but set a minimum standard following approval.
