Latin Trade Group has released its annual list that features the Top 50 Businesswomen in Latin America 2015.

The list names CEOS and Presidents from non-financial companies who have made significant contributions in diverse fields such as energy, insurance, manufacturing, technology, food, banking, tourism, automotive, aerospace, among others.

The Top 50 list reinforces the importance of female leaders in Latin America, where female CEOs are still a small number. The recognition of these women’s work promotes a more equal business environment and is crucial to highlight the need of female empowerment on business.

Top 50 Businesswomen in Latin America 2015 recognition was presented to those who have experienced outstanding achievements through their careers, such as successfully managing their company’s finances.

Among those leaders are Adriana Machado, first woman to be named General Electric’s CEO in Brazil; Isabel Noboa, CEO Consorcio Nobis; and Irina Maslennikova, the new Vice President and Regional Manager of Xerox Latin America.
