Santiago, June 10, 2025 – LATAM Airlines Group has reported an increase in its consolidated capacity for May 2025. The capacity, measured in available seat-kilometers (ASK), rose by 7.2% compared to the same month last year. This growth was largely attributed to a 13.0% rise in LATAM Airlines Brazil’s domestic capacity and the introduction of a new route from São Paulo (Guarulhos) to Fernando de Noronha.

In May 2024, operations at Salgado Filho International Airport in Porto Alegre were halted due to severe flooding in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Domestic operations resumed progressively starting October 2024 and have now been fully restored. This recovery contributed to the increase observed in LATAM Airlines Brazil’s domestic capacity for May 2025.

Conversely, the group’s affiliates in Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru experienced a slight decline of 0.7% in domestic capacity. This decrease is part of a strategic shift reallocating some of LATAM Airlines Colombia’s domestic capacity towards international routes as per their updated guidance for 2025.

Consolidated traffic for May 2025 saw an increase of 9.6%, with the load factor reaching 83.1%, up by 1.8 percentage points from the previous year.

Cargo capacity also saw growth; it increased by 1.7% compared to May last year, achieving a total of 688 million available ton-kilometers (ATK).
