JetBlue has expanded its Latin American footprint by adding daily flights to Mexico City from both Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.
Travelers flying JetBlue will now be able to aboard a spacious A320 aircraft from either Orlando International Airport (MCO) or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and land at Mexico City International Airport (MEX).

JetBlue’s vice president of network planning, said. “Mexico City is one of the Americas’ most cosmopolitan cities, with a unique and rich history, beautiful architecture, world-class museums and lively nightlife. Our new nonstop service makes it easy to get there for business or leisure and our flights are timed to allow connections from many points throughout the JetBlue network.”
While specific flight times differ depending on the day, JetBlue flights from the two Florida airports will generally depart for Mexico City in the evenings and return to the United States in the mornings.
Mexico City will become JetBlue’s 35th destination in the Latin America and Caribbean region. The New York-based carrier offers up to 142 daily flights from the U.S. to Latin America and the Caribbean, with over a fourth of these flights being nonstop from the Orlando and Fort Lauderdale airports.
JetBlue will travel to Antigua and Quito, Ecuador, beginning early next month and in February 2016, respectively.
