The first edition of the Innovation & Technology Summit will be held in Puerto Varas on April 16 and 17, bringing together around 800 attendees to discuss artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and technological development. The event aims to highlight solutions and foster partnerships among key players from public, private, and academic sectors.
Organizers say the summit seeks to position the Los Lagos Region as a center for innovation in southern Chile. Supported by Corfo through its Viraliza Eventos program, the gathering is expected to strengthen collaboration between regional stakeholders.
“This type of initiative is key to decentralizing innovation in Chile. From Corfo we are promoting concrete spaces where technology, entrepreneurship and collaboration connect with real territorial needs. This summit allows us to showcase local talent, attract knowledge and generate opportunities that directly impact the productive development of the Los Lagos Region,” said David Espinoza Pérez, acting regional director of Corfo Los Lagos.
The event’s theme is “Welcome to the future, welcome to the south that transforms.” It will address six main topics: innovation, sustainability, technological trends, academia and research & development (R&D), biotechnology, and people & culture. The organizers hope this approach encourages a broad perspective on current transformation challenges across industries.
The summit is organized by Consultora Integral Advisory and Vitamina Producciones. Activities will take place at Wyndham Pettra Hotel—hosting keynote speeches by national and international speakers—and Bellavista Hotel—which will house a technology fair featuring innovations from companies such as Alpha It, Enerpry, Datco, NLT and Grupo Firma; local entrepreneurs; as well as projects from DUOC UC University Austral de Chile University of Los Lagos; and University of Concepción (Incuba UdeC).
“We are very happy that for the first time Puerto Varas hosts an event of this magnitude that brings together leading national and international figures around major challenges in innovation and technology. We want this summit not only to inspire but also serve as a platform for networking—to showcase solutions connecting southern Chile with global trends,” said Valentina Cid, general coordinator of Innovation & Technology Summit 2026.
