ICC Argentina, led by the Cámara Argentina de Comercio y Servicios (CAC), launched a new series of webinars titled “From Local to Global: Standards and Solutions for Exporting with Confidence” on March 31. The initiative was organized in collaboration with regional business chambers including the Asociación de Comercio, Industria, Producción y Afines del Neuquén; Cámara de Comercio de Córdoba; Cámara de Comercio Exterior de Rosario; Cámara de Comercio Exterior de Rafaela; and Unión Comercial e Industrial de Mendoza.
The aim of this program is to expand access across Argentina to international tools, services, and opportunities offered by the International Chamber of Commerce. This global network connects more than 45 million companies worldwide.
During the opening session, Marcelo Elizondo, president of ICC Argentina, said there is “a need to build a truly federal agenda that brings global tools closer to regional economies,” adding that the goal is “to provide concrete instruments that allow more Argentine companies to participate in international trade.” Other speakers included Juan Viciana from Unión Comercial e Industrial de Mendoza and Sebastián Parra from Cámara de Comercio de Córdoba.
The first webinar was titled “Mapping the World: How to Use Trade Intelligence for International Integration” and featured officials from ICC Global and the International Trade Center. They presented resources such as ICC One Click—a multilingual portal designed to assist small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their internationalization process—and introduced platforms like Export Potential Map and Global Trade Helpdesk.
The Global Trade Helpdesk (GTH) is an interagency initiative led by the International Trade Centre, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and World Trade Organization (WTO). It aims to simplify market research for businesses—especially micro-, small-, and medium-sized ones—by integrating commercial information into one online platform. GTH collaborates with organizations such as FAO, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), African Development Bank (AfDB), World Customs Organization (WCO), and World Bank among others. Through these partnerships, GTH provides key data for comparing product demand across markets, analyzing tariffs and access conditions, identifying potential buyers, understanding export processes, and detecting new business opportunities.
The next webinar will take place on April 21 at 11 a.m., focusing on international sales contracts, Incoterms rules, and essential tools for SMEs looking to export. Registration remains open.
