S&P Capital IQ, a provider of financial research, data and analytics, and BM&FBOVESPA, the largest equity and Futures Exchange in Latin America, announced a partnership agreement to provide critical knowledge to Brazilian companies’ investor relations teams.

The partnership is part of the BM&FBOVESPA IR Intelligence Center, a resource for investor relations officers, and will deliver custom analysis and real-time information on both Brazilian and international listed companies.

“We have developed a set of tools and documents that we believe will help IR officers from Brazilian companies achieve their goals, such as having better knowledge of the capital markets in real-time and making deep dives into stock liquidity and volatility behaviors,” Cristiana Pereira, managing director for listings and issuer development at BM&FBOVESPA, said. “We believe that S&P Capital IQ can help us in this project by adding its recognized expertise in quantitative financial information on both Brazilian and international companies.”

Under the partnership, S&P Capital IQ will provide historical data on more than 350 of Brazil’s listed companies, including earnings, dividend yields, end of day pricing and market capitalization.

“Recognizing strong investor interest in Brazil and Brazilian securities, we are pleased to be working with BM&FBOVESPA to help create greater transparency and understanding of this important market,” S&P Capital IQ

Vice President Cynthia Rojas Sejas said. “Through this partnership, IR officers can quickly access a sample of our high quality financial data that investors and risk managers inside and outside Brazil use to identify and evaluate risks and opportunities.”
