Greyhound, the biggest provider of intercity bus transportation in North America, recently announced that it has launched service in Mexico.
Greyhound has scheduled over 23 daily departures that connect Monterrey to Nuevo Laredo and then main hubs throughout Texas. Thirteen daily routes will run between Nuevo Laredo and Monterrey, while 10 daily routes will link multiple cities in Texas with Monterrey. The current route connects Nuevo Laredo, Monterrey, Laredo, Austin, San Antonio and Dallas.
As a celebration of this event, Greyhound has offered promotional fares. The cost begins at $1 on a specific number of seats for each schedule. The promotion will last for the first two weeks of services.
This expansion is the latest in a series of international network additions, which amount to more than 3,800 destinations throughout the continent. This makes Greyhound the first intercity bus company based in the U.S. to provide domestic services in Mexico.
