The Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC) received European Union Ambassador to Argentina Eric Høeg on April 29. Høeg was accompanied by Enrico Prezio, who is responsible for the commercial area.
During the meeting, CAC President Natalio Mario Grinman, Secretary Ángel Machado, and Director Carlos Arecco discussed with Høeg the importance of the European Union–Mercosur agreement, which began provisional application starting May 1.
The parties also talked about economic changes promoted in Argentina since the current government took office and considered their possible future impacts. Opportunities for cooperation and strengthening commercial ties were also analyzed during the meeting.
Other participants from CAC included Matías Bolis Wilson and Julio Rodríguez Rabellini from the Department of Economics, Tamara Quiroga as an advisor, Agustín Basso from the Department of Foreign Trade, and Micaela Santa Cruz from the Department of International Relations.
The visit highlights ongoing dialogue between business leaders in Argentina and representatives of international organizations as they seek to adapt to recent policy shifts.
