The Ecuadorian government has announced the completion of its third nationwide influenza vaccination campaign, reporting that over one million people have been immunized. The effort was organized under the direction of President Daniel Noboa and Vice President María José Pinto.
According to officials, 708 strategic locations were set up across the country for the latest vaccination day. A total of 1,563 healthcare professionals participated in delivering vaccines and ensuring smooth operations aimed at preventing a seasonal rise in respiratory viruses.
The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) reported strong turnout from families who sought protection against influenza. Several citizens shared their experiences during the event. Estefanía, who visited Portal Shopping Mall in Quito with her baby, said: “Me parece una excelente iniciativa.
Elsa Abad from Loja highlighted the benefits she has experienced: “Siempre me he vacunado y, a la edad que tengo, no he tenido complicaciones; al contrario, la vacuna me ha fortalecido.
Cesar Miranda in Portoviejo urged others to participate: “He venido a ponerme la vacuna para prevenir la enfermedad.
Vice President María José Pinto stated that these actions are part of the government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare throughout Ecuador by adapting services to community needs.
The government continues to encourage those who have not yet received their flu shot to visit their nearest health center.
