The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport announced on March 23 that the enrollment and transfer process for students in the Costa-Galápagos region for the 2026–2027 school year will begin on March 24. This process allows parents, guardians, or legal representatives to select an educational institution based on available spaces and location.

Once the process is completed through the official website juntos.educacion.gob.ec, a certificate of enrollment will be sent to the registered email address of the legal representative. Schools are not permitted to request or require a printed version of this document.

The schedule for enrollments and transfers will follow a detailed timetable provided by authorities. Municipal, fiscomisional (church-run), and private educational institutions can create their own academic calendars or adopt those set by the public education system.

The ministry said it guarantees free access to Ecuador’s education system at all levels and in all modalities.

This announcement marks an important step toward ensuring families have access to timely information about enrolling their children in public schools across different regions.
