Congress has registered a total of 909 legislative initiatives since the beginning of the first part of the 2025-2026 session, according to an April 14 report. Of these, 364 were filed in the Senate and 545 in the Chamber.

This level of activity reflects ongoing legislative work and suggests a steady pace for introducing new proposals. The data highlights how lawmakers have been actively submitting bills since July 20, when the current legislative period began.

On average, there have been about 5.2 bills introduced each day during this period. This figure demonstrates both chambers’ engagement with policy matters and their efforts to address various issues through legislation.

The number of initiatives presented may indicate priorities or concerns among legislators as they seek to shape national policy for the coming years. Observers will be watching how many of these projects advance through further stages in Congress.
