The Corporación Eléctrica del Ecuador (CELEC EP) announced on March 13 that it will carry out emergency work at the Durán substation in Guayas province on Sunday, March 15.

The planned maintenance aims to stabilize several components of the facility where increased temperatures have been detected. CELEC EP said these conditions could pose a risk to the infrastructure. The goal of the intervention is to improve the quality of electricity service and ensure continuous supply for approximately 90,000 residents in Naranjal canton.

To complete these activities, there will be a temporary restriction of electrical service between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in Puerto Inca parish, Naranjal canton, within Guayas province.

CELEC EP thanked residents for their understanding regarding any inconvenience caused by this necessary maintenance.
