Canadian Solar, Inc., said Friday it will be building three photovoltaic projects in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
The three projects awarded to Canadian Solar will total approximately 110 megawatts in Pirapora.
Canadian Solar said it will build the plants and continue to develop a solar technology.

Shawn Qu said. “It is another testament of our strong capabilities in developing global solar power projects and further strengthens our position as a tier 1 global player in the solar energy business.”
Power from the solar panels will be sold to Camara de Comercializacao de Energia Eletrica under a 20-year agreement.
The projects are scheduled to start full operation in late 2018.
