The Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC) recently held its final Board of Directors meeting for the year at its Espacio Chutro educational center. The event brought together representatives from companies and sectoral and territorial entities across the country, along with invited authorities, members, and coordinators from the Chamber’s advisory committees. Natalio Mario Grinman, president of CAC, opened the meeting with a review of current developments within various areas of the organization, including its educational initiatives.
Dante Sica, economist, former Minister of Labor and Production, and founder of consultancy ABECEB, was the guest speaker. Sica analyzed Argentina’s political and economic landscape as President Javier Milei enters the second half of his term. He highlighted government efforts to reduce inflation as central to current policy, discussed ongoing reforms, and noted new habits shaping consumer behavior. Sica also outlined future challenges for Argentina’s economy.
“Each time it is more important to look at the international context. In previous years it did not have as much impact in Argentina because we were very closed off due to many restrictions. Today we must take into account the international context,” said Sica. He further stated that a key priority for 2026 is “the need to accelerate investment in order to continue recovering activity and consumption.”
