Brazil-based Embraer during September received an order for 18 E175 jets from SkyWest, delivered a Legacy 500 business jet to Flexjet LLC, and separately projected its deliveries to China and the rest of the world for the next two decades.

Embraer Executive Jets announced Tuesday that Dallas-based Flexjet LLC, a provider of jet ownership services, received its first Legacy 500 business jet. Marco Tullio Pellegrini, president and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, said that “the Legacy 500, and soon the Legacy 450, will deliver true innovation to Flexjet customers.” Flexjet’s fractional program already includes the Embraer Phenom 300 light jet.

The

state-based, Sao Paulo company also announced this month that it had signed a firm order with U.S.-based SkyWest Inc. for 18 E175 jets worth $800 million.

“With this new 18-aircraft purchase, the total number of SkyWest E175 firm orders reached 73 units of this model,” the company said. Delivery of the first aircraft is expected in 2016.

As for China, Embraer Commercial Aviation released in mid-September its 2015-2034 Market Outlook for the Chinese market, which presents delivery projections of new aircraft over the next 20 years.

“The Company forecasts that 1,020 new jet aircraft in the 70- to 130-seat segment will be delivered in China by 2034,” it said. Embraer projects worldwide deliveries of 6,350 jets, in the 70- to 130-seat segment. The value of these deliveries, at list prices, will reach an estimated $300 billion.

Embraer claims to be the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial jets that seat up to 130 passengers.
“Nearly 900 aircraft from the 37-, 44- and 50-seat ERJ 145 family of regional jets have been delivered to airlines since their introduction in 1996,” according to the company.

The E-Jet family includes four larger aircraft that have between 70 and 130 seats.

“Since E-Jets entered revenue service in 2004, Embraer has received over 1,650 firm orders for this aircraft family. More than 1,100 have been delivered,” it said.

In 2013, Embraer launched E-Jets E2, the second generation of its E-Jets family of commercial aircraft comprised of three new airplanes seating from 70 to 130 passengers: the E175-E2, the E190-E2 and the E195-E2.

The E190-E2 is expected to enter service in the first half of 2018, the E195-E2 is slated to enter service in 2019, and the E175-E2 in 2020.
