The Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC) hosted a delegation of Lithuanian businesspeople for a meeting focused on exchanging views about the economic context and exploring possibilities for commercial exchange, according to an April 8 announcement.

The event began with Carlos Restaino, president of the CAC’s Commission on Integration and Mercosur, welcoming participants. Restaino said it is important to strengthen institutional and commercial ties with new international partners.

Matías Bolis Wilson, head of the CAC’s Economics Department, gave an overview of Argentina’s current economic situation. He highlighted the country’s ongoing process of opening its economy and implementing structural reforms. Bolis Wilson said that Argentina needs to return to sustained growth through innovation, technological development, and promoting both local investment and foreign direct investment.

Representatives from Lithuania provided insights into their own country’s economy during the meeting. They noted that Argentina was the only Latin American destination included in their visit schedule this time, which they said reflects their interest in deepening connections with local businesses.

The gathering brought together CAC officials and more than ten Lithuanian entrepreneurs. Organizers said it created a space for dialogue that helps build cooperation between both countries.
