Unlimited Vacation Club (UVC) by AMResorts, an exclusive vacation membership program, increased its Caribbean momentum with a June 3 groundbreaking for the 500-room Now Onyx Punta Cana resort, the company’s ninth Dominican Republic venture.

Slated to open in November 2016, the venue will be built in the desirable Uvero Alto region on the Dominican Republic’s northeastern coast. With serene views of the Caribbean and its white-sand beach, the venture promises to attract the company’s target audience of multigenerational families, particularly those with teens and tweens.

The Now brand is designed for those seeking an active vacation experience. UVC, with parent company AMResorts, created the Unlimited-Luxury vacation concept to include accommodations, restaurants, room and concierge services, pool, beach and spa amenities, and beverages.

“The easy access and natural beauty of Punta Cana will make Now Onyx the ideal choice for multigenerational groups seeking a vacation destination that meets everyone’s needs,” Gonzalo del Peon, president of AMResorts, said. “The brand’s carefully thought out programming will especially resonate with families traveling with pre-teens or teenagers, a segment usually overlooked in the category.”

Unlimited Vacation Club by AMResorts is a select travel club providing VIP privileges at luxurious AMResorts properties throughout Mexico, the Caribbean and Costa Rica. AMResorts supports resort brands through over three dozen award-winning properties in Mexico, Jamaica, Curaçao, St. Thomas, the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica.
