Ajinomoto del Perú announced on March 26 that it will implement a solar panel system at its offices, with the installation scheduled to begin in April. The company said this project is part of its commitment to efficient operations as outlined in its Roadmap 2030.

The initiative aims to help Ajinomoto del Perú reduce energy costs by between 30% and 35% annually. The investment for the project exceeds US$26,000. According to the company, the solar system has been designed specifically to maximize energy capture even under persistent cloudy conditions typical of the capital city, ensuring efficiency throughout the year.

The implementation of these panels is expected not only to lower fixed costs and optimize resources for Ajinomoto del Perú but also contribute toward broader environmental goals set by the parent group. Since 2018, Ajinomoto Group has targeted a global reduction of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 50% by the year 2030.

This move reflects ongoing efforts within major companies to adopt renewable energy solutions as part of their sustainability strategies.
