World Strategic Forum ignites global economic awareness

Connecting industry leaders throughout the hemisphere, the International Economic Forum of the Americas sponsored the 6th World Strategic Forum on Monday and Tuesday in Miami, Florida with eminent keynote speakers and an eye on the Americas’ future.

The World Strategic Forum strives to adapt to the new world economic order, and the role of North and South America in the rising global marketplace. By providing a platform for a wide array of industries—including banking and finance—and promoting economic development, the forum seeks to create a broader comprehension of both opportunities and challenges that the continents’ business stakeholders face.

As a non-profit organization and event, the forum was conceived to foster dialogue on domestic and international issues. Founded by former Quebec Justice Minister Gil Remillard in 1994, the World Strategic Forum connects more than 5,000 delegates and 200 speakers at its three annual conferences. In addition to the Miami event, the forum conducts similar gatherings in Montreal and Toronto each year.

As its sponsor, the International Economic Forum of the Americas labors in cooperation with global entities such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, UNESCO and others to encourage economic awareness and continuous exchange of information. The forum  publishes several books and a magazine on corporate issues and global economics.
