Brazil-based GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes SA, the biggest best-fare and low-cost airline in Latin America, recently said  it has employed SkyWorks Capital LLC, a specialized financial advisory firm, to help GOL renegotiate the terms of its aircraft leases.

Hiring SkyWorks is just one piece of GOL’s overall business plan. This move is consistent with the company’s earlier disclosures about optimizing its route network, resizing its capacity and pushing back its delivery schedule for aircraft. All of these actions will help the company modify its flight offerings in order to meet current conditions and demands within its industry.

GOL provides approximately 900 flights each day. These flights travel to 68 destinations, with 13 of them being internationally based in the Caribbean and South America. The company uses a fleet of Boeing 737-700 and 737-800 Next Generation aircraft.
