The Legal Alliance of the Americas has expanded into Colombia and Peru.

The alliance, which is a network of some of the top law firms in the Americas, has more than 300 attorneys on staff. Law firms come from Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and the U.S. It has also added two new law firms: Lloreda Camacho & Co. in Bogota, Colombia, and Casahierro Abogados in Lima, Peru.

The alliance will hold an event on March 8 in Brazil. The event is an informational program to help businesses understand cross-border business, as well as legal compliance involved in these dealings. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, March 8, at the Office of Rothmann, Sperling, Padovan, Duarte, Advogados, which is located in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Several presentations will be given by attorneys from the alliance’s various law firms.

"This event is an excellent opportunity for companies and investors who are interested in hearing from legal and business specialists about the opportunities and legal issues in North and South American markets," Alliance Executive Director Jose Ceppi said.
